	By Public Notice released June 26, 1996, DA 96-1026, the Commission announced a schedule for the auction of the final 1,479 broadband PCS licenses, consisting of 493 BTA licenses each in the D, E and entrepreneurs' F frequency blocks.

	More complete details about this auction are contained in a Bidder Information Package, released yesterday.  Interested parties may obtain one copy free of charge, and additional copies are available at a cost of $16.00 each, including first-class postage, payable by Visa, MasterCard or check.  All requests must be directed to the FCC Wireless Consumer Assistance Branch during normal business hours at 800-322-1117.

	Short-form application (FCC Form 175) filing software for this auction has been posted on both the Internet and the Commission's Bulletin Board System.  The software is contained in the file F175V7.EXE.  It can be accessed via the World Wide Web (ftp://ftp.fcc.gov), by gopher (gopher.ftp.fcc.gov, or "all the gophers in the world" then "U.S." then "DC" then "FCC"), or from the FCC BBS at 202-682-5851 (at least xmodem protocol, 8,N,1).  Technical support is available at 202-414-1250.

	While the auction includes three frequency blocks, applicants should file a single short-form application for all licenses they wish to bid on.  Short-form applications may be filed at any time between now and 5:30 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, July 31, 1996.
